However, during the months of December and January Lake Cuyamaca has duck hunting on Wednesday (all day) and Sunday mornings until 10am. On those days, fishing can only take place from the dam to the dike (the North Shore) on Wednesday (all day) and Sunday mornings until 10am during December and January. Boats cannot be on the lake during those times.  **Reservations are non-refundable, but if you cancel at least 3 days before your reservation date you will receive camp credit that is valid for one year. NO REFUNDS DUE TO WEATHER. **Absolutely no body contact with the lake is allowed! Just like every lake in San Diego County, we are a reservoir and no swimming is permitted. Fishing and boating only. **No wood fires are allowed. Every site has a charcoal grill, and propane stoves and propane fire rings are allowed, but no wood fires, campfires or bonfires. **If you bring your own boat or kayak(s) they MUST be inspected by a ranger before being launched onto the lake. No inflatables are allowed.
