Mountain View RV Resort — The Premier Royal Gorge RV Park

If you're searching for a Royal Gorge RV park that delivers on every front — location, amenities, scenery, and hospitality — Mountain View RV Resort is your answer. Nestled just 3 miles from the entrance to Colorado's iconic Royal Gorge, our family-owned resort sits at 6,400 feet elevation with sweeping panoramic views of the Sangre de Cristo mountains as your daily backdrop.

Unlike typical RV parks, Mountain View was built by RVers, for RVers. Every one of our 41 sites is 100% gravel (no mud, no dust), fully level, and full hookup — water, sewer, and 30/50 amp electric. Pull-through sites run from 65 to 100 feet, making us a true big rig-friendly Royal Gorge RV park. Ninety-three percent of sites feature concrete patios, and most include fire pits, picnic tables, or upgraded outdoor furniture. Fast, free Starlink WiFi keeps you connected even in this canyon country.

But Mountain View is more than a place to park — it's your basecamp for one of Colorado's most adventure-rich regions. The Royal Gorge Bridge & Park, Arkansas River whitewater rafting, the Royal Gorge Route Railroad, Shelf Road sport climbing, and over 25 additional local attractions are all within easy reach. Most guests find 3–7 days barely enough to scratch the surface.

When the adventure is done, the resort delivers. Corn hole, horseshoes, basketball, and shuffleboard are on-site. The fire pit calls. And if stargazing is your thing, our dark-sky elevation views don't disappoint.

Looking for something beyond an RV site? Choose from cozy comfort cabins or our signature elevated glamping domes — 16-foot geodesic spheres perched above the property with breathtaking mountain views and a hotel-quality experience far above the crowds.

    Our 16' diameter glamping domes are perched high above the crowds with an awesome view of the Sangre de Cristo mountains. The perfect romantic getaway. You'll have an ultra-comfy queen bed with linens, lamps, love seat, table and chairs, microwave, coffee pot, multiple phone charging stations, A/C or heat. Linens and towels are included. Outside on the deck is a table and chairs and a propane fire pit. Domes do not have running water - a shower/bath house is in close proximity. Maximum occupancy 2 guests. The domes are 10' above ground, so there are stairs to climb. Bear in mind that these are tents without insulation and may be hotter or cooler than an insulated building.

    Very neatly kept property, very secure, extremely close to Royal Gorge and other fun activities around Cañon City. Showers were spectacular, very clean, great water pressure.

    The park was immaculate and there was even a guy raking the rocks. The only complaint would be the guy that’s apparently the camp manager, he was extremely rude and came out screaming at us as soon as we pulled in bc my dog jumped out when my daughter did. If it wasn’t for the guy that directed us to our spot we would have left. He was awesome and really caring. Overall though it’s a beautiful place
