Oxbow Park — Reviews

The staff was very nice. They gave me lakefront property. And everything was very clean. If I did have a problem, their maps are a little hard to read. But I would highly recommend it especially if you own a boat.

The tent camping sites are quite small and the swim area has quite a bit of seaweed. The park itself is clean, and the showers and bathrooms were reasonably maintained. Overall, a very mid experience. It's not bad but there are options with larger sites and better swimming options in Michigan.

The site was a decent size and we had a great view. Bathrooms and showers were clean. Staff was friendly. The band was a little rough, but the crowd was fun. We will definitely be returning!

The staff were all very helpful and the park was clean with lots of space for the kids to do things. Lots were close together but we had a beautiful space overlooking the water. We appreciated everything that the camp had to offer and the price was amazing. Thank you for a great time!

This camp ground is very clean and well maintained. The sites are clearly marked and large. There are multiple playgrounds and activities for kids including games put on by the staff. The beach is really nice and the kids loved the slide. Would have given five stars because everything went really well except for one encounter with a staff member who screamed at us from the office window for “driving too fast” When my car was costing into the camp ground and slowing down to approach the first speed bump. Their speed limit is 5mph for safety which I understand. But the situation should have been handled differently. That’s encounter made us not want to go back to the office to buy wood or ice for the remainder of the weekend because we wanted to avoid the rude screaming staff member.

Almost perfect, only slight mark down for drunk loud people after quiet time, not necessarily the parks fault. Nice location and views and boat slips are a bonus too along with food truck and small store

Camp host was soooooo incredibly nice, very clean place, and surprisingly quiet for how busy it was there. I can’t wait to go back!

Been camping there for years always have a good time. They need to be on top of people who don't leash their dogs seen that a lot. Little kids running around with out a adult around going through your lot . This was are worsted time there .

Campground was very clean, restrooms were clean, and atmosphere was great! Verizon has great service, ATT & Tmobile is very poor.

First night drunks were yelling and cackling that alcoholic guffawing until 10:45 PM. Second night same thing then they fired gunshots past 12:00 AM. Very nice camp host just shrugged her shoulders. She’s not a policeman- can’t expect her to stop drunks. Evidently they are only denizens of abandoned (currently)house trailers … then I arrived. I suggest a police officer arrive after 11:00 PM to witness the mayhem. Please do it without getting intimidated camp host involved- she is competent.
