We absolutely love Prairie Oasis and have been coming here to camp every summer since 2019. There’s so much to enjoy—the trees, the lake, the icecream shop, the native plants, and the bathrooms, which are honestly the best outhouses I’ve ever used. Not stinky at all—just a little breezy (if you know, you know 😉). That said, I do have a couple of suggestions. I really wish the beach sand was softer—what’s there now feels more like coarse sand mixed with mud or dirt. It’s quite rough and hard underfoot, especially for kids. Also, this year I noticed quite a few invasive weeds, especially Canada Thistle and Milkweed. A bit more weed management would go a long way in keeping the grounds beautiful and stopping the spread of these species. Thanks again for all the work that goes into making this place such a lovely summer destination. We’re always happy to come back.

Lovely spacious sites. Dog beach!! Lots of beach, warm water for swimming, lots of small docks for canoes, kayaks or paddle boards. Noticed boaters towing water skiers and tubes. Laundry and shower facilities and day-use areas. Group sites appear to be popular among groups of families and friends. I’d highly recommend this place!

Overall good but I wish there are flushing toilets and more shower rooms. The place is amazing but we expected that toilets will be more modern having seeing how spacious and beautiful the Campground is. Hopefully this is something you will consider upgrading. Still good experience since kids enjoy the big space to play and bike around. The lake is beautiful too.

I booked months in advance and site 80 was the only one available. Yet there appeared to be many better sites open when we were there. Are they the first come first serve sites and not reservable? If yes then could we have switched to them once we arrived? Ours had a deep puddle in it. Other than that it was wonderful. The beach and playground were great. Facilities were clean. We utilized the concession as well.

The road needs major work. Also the trees need trimming in both the sites and roads around the park to.prevent damage to taller RVs. We loved the store and food service. We no.longer have children traveling with us but thought the playground was top notch. We didn't need any facilities but noticed them being cleaned consistently. Also.liked the size of the sites. We will return.
