Prairie Oasis Park — Reviews

It’s a beautiful park. Well maintained and friendly staff. Washrooms are clean. Beach is the best.

This is our favourite spot but mosquitoes were really bad this year. Ant hills by the trees on the beach as well. We ended up leaving early.

Beautiful view from Lakeside camping. Out houses were clean. Just one shower for the ladies bathroom working most of our week there. Weather could have been better but that is definitely not the Campground‘s fault.

Everything was great except a) boats docked in the swimming area on Saturday, and b) the attitudes of the workers in the store serving ice cream were terrible.

Very nice facility. Second time staying there. Could use hand soap at the hand wash stations and maybe some coat hangers in the washrooms but awesome place.

I love this park very much! Only comment I would make is the amount of weeds and long grass this year. Understandly... the amount of rain we have had makes it almost impossible to keep up with this, but the weeds in the trees, seems out of control, compared to all previous years. We are extremely lucky to be able to enjoy Prairie Oasis :)

have stayed here many times over the last 12 years for most of those years the grounds were amazing !!and very inviting over the past year or 2 it has not been quite as nice Both weeks this year the grass was overgrown on the beach which gives the mosquitos a place to breed and thrive and could barely read the campground numbers on the posts because the grass was so tall around them. still love the campground and its amenities the store is always great as well as the marina

Always a beautiful, clean , quiet relaxing place. Swimming, ice cream, sun.

Great canning spot

Why not. It was clean. They checked on everyone on a regular basis by driving around. Everyone was very polite. It was just a nice experience.

Campground was very clean. Power and water at each site is greatly appreciated. Sites were a great size.

Loved it. The only thing was we could not dump our trailers as the dump station was plum full. Maybe empty it on the Friday of the long weekend or any weekend.

There's no control of the weather rained alot on Sunday, lots of mosquitos. Other than these two elements we enjoyed the camping trip.

Great campground, had boat out and was very fun, road from camp attendant area to beach needs to be fixed, washrooms by the beach needed some extra cleaning, other bathrooms were very clean.

Beach was great, and had clean facilities. What a gem of a campground.

I knocked stars off because we've now booked twice this season (last visit was in June) and we had the same problem; a disgusting state of a site. On the website it says that checkout is 11am to "allow staff the time to clean each site between visits" but clearly this is not happening! This is by far our favorite campground but I'm getting annoyed when we pull up to a site with trash/litter everywhere, the picnic table was covered in either old/new bird poop and leftovers from the previous users (litterally orange peels and seeds all over), and then the firepit in site 25 was flat out disgusting - the previous people cooked meat/burgers (that's what it looked like) and then threw the chunks of burger meat all around the firepit, mixed with sunflower seeds and cigarette butts. I am on vacation too and dont' want to be responsible for cleaning but I can tell you I did alot more cleaning than your park staff did. Its our favorite campground but clearly its being neglected between users - Special Areas employs a ton of staff so I don't get how this is being missed so often - start implementing fines to those who leave sites in less than a clean state.
