Loved this spot! Close to the hiking trails....right on the creek. Bathrooms/Showers were clean and the store was great We will be back!

The campground owners were very nice. However, the bathrooms were terrible. They were nasty and in disrepair. One of the two bathhouses had only a shower curtain for toilet privacy. The other bathhouse was not much better. There was an odd chemical smell in the same spot every time we walked to the bathroom closest to the entrance. I couldn't figure out why my camper had rust colored water coming through the faucets. I assumed something was wrong with my camper, but as I disconnected the water, I realized it was coming from the site's spigot. The "cabins" are not cabins but either modular homes or permanently placed RVs. The other side of the creek is lined with long-term RVs built on structures beyond a deck. I'm not sure what they were, but they were not expected to be the eyesore of a creekside campsite. Finally, we reserved a double site, but it was really just two sites next to each other. One was considered a "premium" site, and the other was standard. There was no difference in the sites except that one site (unusable due to a water/sewage issue) was just a few feet from the modular home "cabin". If I had been on that site, the original site reserved, my camper door would have opened up to look at the side of the unkept yellow house, a mere 10ish feet from my door. We had a good time and made the most of the situation, but we would not rebook.

Smoky Mountain Campground was great, I brought myself and my 2 toddlers on a weekend camping adventure and between getting to go to sleep listening to rushing water or waking up to beautiful horses, I don’t know what was better! I also loved being to close to downtown Bryson City! The spots are really tight but thankfully the grounds weren’t crowded and everyone had their own space. We will definitely be back very soon!!

Great little campground steps away from deep creek in smoky mountain national park. Beautiful creek and pasture views.

Very quiet and clean Campground the river was beautiful to watch and Bryson city was a very nice town. The smoky Mountain national Park and it’s hiking trails were literally eighth of a mile away.

Staff was awesome as always and the accommodations were superb!! Will continue to recommend this place!!

The bathrooms were terrible, put doors on the stalls!

Great place very friendly clean

Nice campground

The campground is neat, and organized. The sites are tight, and if the park was full we think our trailer is too large. We are 38' with slides on both sides, leaving just enough walking room on the back, and just enough to squeeze past the picnic table on the entry side. I would guess each side was 20' wide, and our trailer is 14' wide... The plus was backing up to the river with a clean firepit area. You can walk straight into the national park in five minutes. Staff was very friendly.

We love staying here. The location is perfect. There's just enough room for two of us to be perfectly comfortable.

Very clean, quiet campground. Loved being right on the creek listening to the water while sitting by the campfire.

The folks there were very friendly and helpful. There was a problem with the one of the bathrooms while we were there (nothing they could have prevented), but once notified, the problem was remedied the same morning. The campground was clean and tidy. Very impressed and we will return.

I loved the Campground. It was kind of tight maneuvering into my spot.

The location is 5 stars as it is right at the entrance to the Great Smokey Mountains NP The store on site is well stocked . So it was a shame to drop this site a star but I did so I felt the shower area needs an update and the site an overall tidy up .

Great place!!

Website pictures were misleading as it showed my spot #32 having a deck area. Very small and narrow sites and no trees. Commodes in the bath house wouldn’t flush. Water pressure very low and only cold water in the sinks. A beautiful spot on Deep Creek until you looked across the creek and saw a solid wall of trailers. Not a typical camping experience in the mountains as you would believe.
