    Want to Get Away? Our beautiful campground on Big Lake in Cloquet , MN is a quick 30 minutes from Duluth/Superior and 2 hours north of the Twin Cities. Whether you ‘rough it’ in one of our campsites or take advantage of the comforts of a full RV hook-up, we offer a welcome break from urban life. We’re close enough to enjoy any weekend, making our pristine property a convenient and fun tradition for family and friends. We Have What You’re Looking For Our scenic lakeside location offers a full bar with party accommodations for:family or class reunionscorporate/company gatheringsunforgettable weddings Explore and Enjoy Come and enjoy our over 40 acres on Big Lake . Boat, fish, swim, sun…and there’s a fantastic golf course less then one mile away. Looking for winter fun? We also host various winter activities! The opportunities are endless! Camping is available as soon as weather permits.

      Heated sleeper cabin for 2 people just off Big Lake! Shared lake access with grill and picnic tables. This site is located on a beautiful campground with lots of trees, fishing and swimming. Bring your own sleeping bags/bedding. Fitted sheet provided. There is no running water in the cabin, but there is a faucet behind the cabin and a Porta Potty. Fire pit, microwave and mini fridge and shared grill. There are full shower house, bathrooms and laundry on the grounds. Tavern with WIFI, food. Great fishing in the summer and winter! Big Lake Golf Resort with full restaurant 1 mile away, open year round. Sawyer Store 3 miles away. ATV trails in Fond du lac state trails that are accessible by ATV from the Cabin. City of Cloquet is 9 miles with Walmart, Super One foods, L&M and other shopping. Jay Cooke State Park 10 miles away. Great hiking trails! Duluth is 27 miles from the Cabin.

      Nice space for Class A & tow, FHP, bar on site was fun (meat raffle). Golf course close (great 19th hole). Very friendly town.

      There may have been a map of the amenities but it wasn’t obvious. When we got there, we couldn’t find the bathrooms, showers, laundry or even the trash. There was a building. I entered what turned out to be the bar. Yes, there were bathrooms in the bar, but no showers. When I asked the bartender, he said “everything you need is online”. I “used” the bathroom. When I exited, I noticed a sign on the bar door… “if you have any problems or issues, call Bill”. So, the bartender was obviously, not Bill, the owner, and didn’t seem to want to be bothered. The Lodge did include several lakeside campsites. From our sites, we literally drove down to the lake, drove around, and discovered an older looking restroom, shower building. Honestly, either we are too old to “camp” because we can’t easily walk a half mile to the bathrooms, and/or I’m not computer literate enough to understand everything online, or the important things we’re not obvious or explained well. We eventually found a trash bin. Signs would be helpful. That worker bee could be a little more considerate and concerned about more than drink orders. There were a number of camps that seemed to live there long term. Why? I don’t know. My business will surely go elsewhere if in the area again. Oh, and I was in computer technology for 40 years.
