Hidden Lake Campground – Rules & Policies

These rules are designed to ensure a safe, clean, and enjoyable experience for all guests at Hidden Lake Campground in Alamance County, NC. By reserving and paying for a site, guests agree to comply with all rules and regulations outlined below.

CHECK-IN / CHECK-OUT

  • Check-In begins at 2:00 PM. Early check-in (when available) is $20.
  • Late Check-Ins after 6:00 PM require advance notice. No arrivals permitted after 10:00 PM without prior approval.
  • Check-Out must occur before 12:00 PM on departure day. Late departures will incur an additional night’s charge.
  • Cancellations within 7 of arrival or early departures are non-refundable. Management may issue refunds at its discretion for extenuating circumstances.
  • Monthly site fees are due on or before the 1st of each month. Late payments may result in forfeiture of the site.

OFFICE HOURS

  • Monday – Saturday, 9:00 AM – 5:00 PM.

QUIET HOURS

  • 10:00 PM – 8:00 AM. Children under 16 must return to their site by 10:00 PM.
  • Please keep voices, music, and activities at a low level during quiet hours.
  • Turn off outdoor TVs and radios during quiet hours.

VISITOR POLICY

  • Visitors must register at the office before entering the park.
  • Each site includes four guests. Additional overnight guests are $5 per person.
  • Registered campers are responsible for their guests’ behavior and damages.

SPEED LIMIT

  • 5 MPH throughout the campground. Applies to all vehicles, golf carts, and bicycles.

PARKING

  • One RV and up to two registered vehicles per site.
  • All vehicles must stay on gravel surfaces. No parking on grass or roads.
  • Additional vehicles, boats, or trailers must park in designated visitor areas ($5 per day).

CHILDREN

  • Parents/guardians are responsible for supervision and behavior of their children at all times.
  • Children under 16 may not leave their site after 10 PM unless accompanied by an adult.
  • Children under 18 may not occupy a site overnight without adult supervision.

BICYCLES

  • Ride only on roadways, not on grass or landscaping.
  • Bikes must be parked at your site before dusk.
  • NC law requires all riders under 16 to wear a helmet.

PETS

  • Maximum of 3 pets per site; pets must be current on vaccinations.
  • Quiet, leashed pets (6′ max leash) are welcome. Clean up immediately after your pet ($25 cleanup fee).
  • No pets may be left unattended outdoors or inside RVs if they bark excessively.
  • Aggressive or noisy pets must be removed from the property.

GARBAGE

  • Dumpsters are provided on-site. All trash must go inside, not beside the dumpster.
  • Use liners in trash cans and keep lids closed.
  • Do not litter, including cigarette butts. $25 cleanup fee applies if management must service your site.

SEWER CONNECTIONS

  • Watertight seals (rubber doughnut/collar) are required on all sewer connections.
  • Keep sewer valve closed until ready to dump.
  • No gray water on ground.

WATER & ELECTRICITY USAGE

  • Washing of vehicles or RVs is prohibited without approval.
  • No excessive use of electricity. Dual A/C units or multiple heaters may incur an extra fee.
  • Do not fill barrels, tanks, or external containers with campground water.

MAIL SERVICE

  • Mail and package deliveries are not accepted at the Camp Office. Please use a local post office or off-site service.

PARTIES & GATHERINGS

  • Family gatherings are welcome but must remain respectful and non-disruptive.

CAMPFIRES & FIREWOOD

  • Fires only in provided fire rings and must be attended by an adult.
  • Use firewood only. Do not burn trash or food waste.
  • Firewood must be kiln-dried if brought from out of state.

LAKE SAFETY

  • No swimming, wading, or boating is permitted in the lake.
  • The pier is closed and off-limits. Do not enter or climb on the pier.

ALCOHOL, TOBACCO & DRUGS

  • Must be 21 or older to possess or consume alcohol.
  • No open display of alcohol; use cups or koozies. No kegs or drinking parties.
  • Illegal drugs are strictly prohibited on campground property.

CAMPSITE BOUNDARIES

  • Respect others’ privacy; do not walk through other campsites.
  • Stay within your site’s utility pedestal boundaries and on designated roads.

DISRUPTIVE BEHAVIOR

  • Disorderly conduct, fighting, or obscene language is not tolerated.
  • If law enforcement is called, all involved parties will be evicted without refund.

SITE MAINTENANCE & STORAGE

  • Keep your site clean and tidy at all times.
  • No outdoor appliances (washers, dryers, freezers, or power tools) without approval.
  • No construction materials, tools, or scrap items may be stored on site.

ALTERATIONS, STRUCTURES & CANOPIES

  • All site changes or additions require prior management approval.
  • Decks, porches, and canopies must not extend beyond site boundaries.
  • Storage sheds are not allowed.

GOLF CARTS & MOTORIZED DEVICES

  • Golf carts and e-bikes permitted only with management approval.
  • All must obey the 5 MPH speed limit and be operated safely by licensed adults.
  • ATVs and off-road vehicles are not permitted.

VEHICLE REPAIRS

  • No oil changes, mechanical repairs, or body work allowed except emergency tire changes.

EMERGENCY & WEATHER SAFETY

  • Follow management instructions during severe weather or emergencies.
  • Seek shelter in designated areas and avoid staying in RVs during severe storms if advised.

NO PERMANENT SITES

  • Hidden Lake Campground does not offer permanent sites. Long-term stays are temporary and must remain in compliance with campground policies.

RESERVATION TRANSFERS

  • Reservations cannot be transferred or sold with a camper. Any sale of a camper requires its removal from the park.

LIABILITY

  • Hidden Lake Campground is not responsible for the theft of RV, Vehicle, Personal items, or loss of money or valuables of any kind.
  • Hidden Lake Campground is not responsible for theft, loss, injury, or damage caused by nature, including falling limbs or power outages.
  • Guests assume all risks associated with camping and recreational activities.

SECURITY & SAFETY

  • The property is monitored by video surveillance for security and safety purposes.
  • Sex offenders are not permitted on the premises.

FINAL TERMS

  • All rates and policies are subject to change without notice.
  • By reserving and paying for a site, guests agree to follow all campground rules and policies.
