The cabin was impeccable, site and setting was super clean and amazingly beautiful. Access to the beautiful lake was direct and an easy and lovely walk. I intend to revisit many times over. Keep up the good work, even the welcome staff was sweet and attentive. My home away from home!!

My husband and I stayed at site 72 the first week of September in the ol’ Sienna Campervan. The weather was absolutely perfect. We showed up on Labor Day and Weco Beach was a happening place to be. That was the official last day of the season, however, we went the next day and almost no one was there. It was fantastic! Lake Michigan looks so much like the ocean and this beach has beautiful white sand and clean facilities. The campground was nice. It offers full sun and shady locations. All sights are covered in sand, so be prepared for that. May want to bring a large rug to put outside your door to help with tracking. Easy walk to the beach. Electrical and water hookups at all locations. We were able to run 2 extension cords to power our things with no problems. No wifi available and almost no cell phone service. We have AT&T and spent most of the week in SOS mode. Not being able to be in touch with our kids back home was a little scary. The bathrooms are extremely dated and in need of repair. However, the water pressure and temperature was excellent. I would definitely come back to this campground. A very relaxing and beautiful stay. The beach takes maybe 5 minutes to walk to, and is a must to visit with stunning sunsets. All in all I give it a 5 star rating.

Pros: 1. It's a very short walk to the beach and the beach is beautiful. 2. The cabin we stayed in was clean. Cons: we stayed at the South campsite and there was bathroom or shower, only Port-a-Johns which were filthy. We walked to the bathroom/shower facility at the East or West sites and 2 of the 3 toilets were broken and unusable. There were several shower stalls but all except one were also closed due to disrepair and that one had a lot of mold on the walls and floor. I understand showers get mold but come on.. a spray of bleach nightly would prevent it from getting that bad so obviously that's not being done. We booked 2 nights but only stayed one. I don't mind port-a-johns but they should be reasonably clean.

1. Unlevel site 2. Only 1 set of restrooms was operational which made it very busy. 3. People continuously driving from the other site to use the bathrooms was disruptive at night

Beautiful area! Only thing I wish was better was the bathrooms.

This is our favorite getaway spot. 10 years and counting.

The beach was amazing ..however the Porta potty were all disgusting.

The beach was very clean along with the campsite. The bathrooms were terrible. Spider webs & dirt everywhere. The sinks were dirty, the toilets themselves were ok, but I think a better job can be done keeping the facilities cleaner. At check in, very little information was given, unless asked.

Location was great. It’s a quick walk to the beach. It’s small and there wasn’t any partying or loud groups. Definitely very family friendly. However, the bathhouse was pretty gross. They allow people to check in anytime after 3pm including after hours which is convenient I’m sure but not great when it’s midnight and the people on both sides of you are setting up tents and cranking up pop up campers. Also, be careful by the creek! There’s so much broken glass. We collected almost 10lbs of it. Also, a heads up for the families with smaller children… the campground in the south loop is port-a-potty only. All that being said, we still had a good time and I think it’s worth it to be so close to the beach.

The online site says it has water hook up but we would to have brought an extra hose to be able to get water for unit #11. Fortunately we read that on the site and retained water in our fresh water tank. We only stayed one night so this wasn't a problem. We thought it was pricey for the site. It was okay for one night.

The beach is beautiful and very close to the campground but the bathrooms are old and not clean.

While the reservation and checkin process was easy we were disappointed with our campsite. Ours was behind a dune and instead of a view of the lake our view was of the backside of a dune on one side and trash bins and orange plastic road barriers on the other. There was absolutely no signal so if off the grid. The heat and humidity were oppressive on the day we were there. Maybe that was part of it to be fair. But the environment was so depressing that after giving it a chance for a few hours we just left and went to another campsite 30 minutes away. We were glad we left even though we forfeited the money.

We loved being able to walk to the beach from our camp site! The beach was so nice and we got to enjoy a beautiful sunset over the beautiful water! 🔆❤️. It was a really great trip for my family to enjoy all together. We all had a great time!

Hornets around two cabins. Non-working bathrooms and showers on our entire arm of the campground and not being told they won’t be fixed until the campground closes down in the fall! Confused messaging from staff who were not informed of the bathrooms not functioning. Full and dirty port-o-let’s. Sites were beyond small, inadequate fire ring and no way two cars and or tents would fit. The beach was beautiful and nicely patrolled but the campground was as expensive as the hotel we ended up at for four out of five nights. Don’t waste your money.
