We love staying at Buttersville. It is a relaxing getaway.

Great place

The view on the bluff over-looking Lake Michigan was spectacular, and we spent the whole day lounging on the beach.

We had 3 campsites reserved in our group. Would have been great if they wouldn’t have allowed a camper (let’s call him Steve) to stay on one of our reserved campsite the day we were all supposed to be arriving. Causing one family to arrive a day later because Steve was still parked at our reserved campsite. When Steve arrived, someone was parked on his reserved campsite! This makes no sense!! Plus, now our family member couldn’t get a refund until they write a letter explaining all of this to the township.

Great place the only downside is that sites are non electric. Bathrooms are slightly dated but acceptable. Very friendly staff.

Loved that this campground was smaller. It was quiet all of the workers were kind. It was just steps (81) down to the beach, but you could hear the waves all day. The view was beautiful - water and beach were clean. We will definitely be back next year for a much longer stay.
