We had a spot along the trout pond within South Shore Monument RV Park. Site was spacious and although a holiday weekend we had great neighbors and was quiet and relaxing. I will say Maintenance should have cleaned out the fire pits of ash & trash between guests. Rangers should have enforced guests in their sites. Cars and people parked and setting up (tents) in vacant sites evident of the site tag in windshield. Missed opportunity to improve the park’s reputation.

It’s a solid campground. Beautiful views. Lots of fishing. Great place to ride a bike. Nice fire pits. Solid hookups.

I gave it a 4 star only because the camp site I was in, the fire ring had burnt wood from the previous camper, it was not cleaned out.

The campgrounds are amazing and very well taken care of!! We thoroughly enjoyed our first stay at Camanche and will definitely be back next year!! We stayed through a storm and it was very windy!

Fire pit was fun of garbage and cigarette butts. It should have been cleaned out once the prior guests left. I called the gate to request maintenance; no showed. I miss the off season punch card; no incentive for long time patrons any longer. Disappointing.

If I’m going to pay $6.50 a day for my dog, I would expect you to have poop bags. Luckily I had my own but part of me felt inclined to not pick it up, but I’m not that kind of person.

Great spot, easy drive for us. The only reason I didn’t give 5 stars is there were lots of fox tails. Looks like mowing happened before we got there but the clippings were not picked up and I had to sweep the area and throw away the debris before I could let my dogs out.
