Park Rules

Please follow these simple rules for your safety and enjoyment, as well as for your visitors and guests, and for our employees.

I AGREE AND SHALL HAVE MY CHILDREN, INVITEES, AND GUESTS ABIDE BY THESE RULES, REGULATIONS, AND POLICIES.  In consideration for myself, and all persons entering under MY SUPERVISION, being permitted to camp and participate in the activities at Lost River Valley Campground, I agree to the following:

I hereby KNOWINGLY AND INTENTIONALLY WAIVE AND RELEASE, INDEMNIFY, AND HOLD HARMLESS, all officers and employees of Lost River Valley Campground of all liability for injuries caused by, but NOT LIMITED TO, the following activities: CAMPFIRES, HIKING, FISHING, SWIMMING, USE OF PLAYGROUND EQUIPMENT, PLANNED EVENTS, DOGS, SHOWERS, SPEED BUMPS, BICYCLE OR MOTORCYCLE USE, OR ENCOUNTERS WITH WILDLIFE. I acknowledge that camping has many hazards and that there are risks that cannot be eliminated, particularly in a wilderness environment.

Guests who do not depart after 11:01 AM and are still here at 11:15 AM are considered trespassing and will be charged accordingly. At 11:15 AM, $45.00 will be charged. For every 10 minutes thereafter, a $20.00 fee will be charged. If a guest is still here at 1:00 pm, a full night's stay will be charged.

Adults: The person registering for the campsite (the Site Leader) is responsible for the entire party’s conduct, including visitors/guests.

Children: Parents are responsible for the actions of their children.

Pets: Pets must be on a short leash at all times and are to remain on a durable chain or rope that will prevent the pet from leaving your site in any direction. Pets should never be left unattended at any time. All pet droppings are the responsibility of the pet owner and must be picked up and removed immediately. There will be minimum $50.00 fee charged to the site leader/visitor/guest each time they fail to clean up after their pet.

We do not allow aggressive pets of any size. Any pet bites must be reported to office staff immediately. Any pet bites will result in the removal of the pet.

Visitors/Guests: A visitor/guest is anyone who is not registered with the camping party at check-in. The site leader must check-in all visitors/guests prior to their arrival and must pay in advance at the time of registering them. The site leader is also held responsible for their visitors/guests.

Quiet Hours: 10:00 PM - 8:00 AM. We are a family campground. Generators must be off during these hours. The sound of radios, TVs, CD players, etc. are to be kept off after 10:00 PM.  Be respectful to your neighbors; voices do carry. Children are expected to be at their own campsite under adult supervision during these hours.

Speed Limit: The speed limit is 5 MPH on the entire property, strictly enforced. 

Vehicles: Each site accommodates one vehicle, unless you have reserved a double tent site or the group site. Every vehicle must have a car pass. Please advise the office of any additional vehicles PRIOR to arrival so the office can have the car passes prepared. Extra vehicles must be parked in the overflow lot and paid for under the site leader's reservation and authorization. Any vehicle without a visible car pass will be towed.

RVs, Camping Trailers, and Pop-Ups: RVs, camping trailers, and pop-ups over 32' are not permitted over the bridge into the campground. Larger campers can be accommodated on two of our T-Sites or across the road on our Mountain View Sites.

Pull-Behind Trailers/Cargo Trailers: Pull-behind trailers or cargo trailers of any size are NOT allowed on Loop Road at any time.

Electric Vehicles: Charging of electric vehicles is strictly prohibited; fees may apply if violations occur. There are electric charging stations a short drive away in Lincoln, NH.

Bicycles: Subject to State of New Hampshire bicycle laws, all children under 16 must wear bike helmets at all times. Between 1/2 hour after sunset and 1/2 hour before sunrise, bikes must have a front white light and a red rear reflector. Riders must also wear at least one piece of reflective clothing.

Parents must instruct their children in proper safety procedures prior to riding and provide proper supervision. Please ride with caution. No speeding or reckless riding is allowed. You must obey all speed limit signs in the campground.  

Electric Bikes, Scooters, Hoverboards, Skateboards, etc:   We require anyone using e-bikes, scooters, hover boards, and similar devices to wear appropriate safety gear, such as helmets and padding. Lost River Valley Campground assumes no liability for injuries or damage resulting from the use of e-bikes, hoverboards, and other recreational transport vehicles. Additional Rules: (a) No speeding or reckless riding; (b) You must obey all signs in the campground;  (c) Use of bikes, scooters, hoverboards, skateboards are prohibited after dark;  (d) Manufacturer's specifications are required.   

ATVs, Side by Sides, Dirt Bikes, and Golf Carts: ATVs, Side by Sides, Dirt Bikes, and Golf Carts are prohibited on campground property.  You give Lost River Valley Campground the rights to suspend any usage of these vehicles at any time.   

Cabins: All our cabins are pet friendly. You must be 21 to rent a cabin. I acknowledge receipt of the cabin in good order and condition. The cabin must be returned in the same condition in which it was rented, and the site leader will be responsible for all damage or loss that occurs during the rental period. At departure, the cabin is to be left in a reasonably clean condition (broom swept), and garbage is to be removed and placed in the trash receptacles. Kitchenettes are to be left clean, and the microwave, fridge, stove, and counter tops are to be wiped clean; otherwise, Lost River Valley Campground may charge my credit card with a minimum $75.00 cleaning fee. I understand and agree that if I leave the cabin in an unreasonably filthy condition, Lost River Valley Campground may charge my credit card for the cost to professionally clean the rental unit ($250 minimum charge). All damages to the cabin during my stay, whether caused by myself, my children, guests, or pets, will be disclosed to the office staff immediately or at check out, and any charges to my credit card will be made after a thorough inspection by the campground staff. Damages for which I will be responsible include, but are not limited to: lost key(s); broken/lost HEAT/AC remote controls; broken items; discharged fire extinguishers (if not used for a fire); damaged/dented/bent appliances, furniture, cabinetry or dishes; writing on walls or bedding; and ripped or torn mattresses or covers.

Do not place any grills or anything flammable on the cabin deck. Each cabin has its own fire pit with drop-down cooking grate.  Do not tie, tack, attach, or hang any sort of items, including lights, on the cabin/deck.

No smoking is allowed in cabins. Smoking inside the unit will result in an additional smoke cleaning fee of a minimum of $150.

Please return your key(s) to the office upon check out. if you depart when the office is closed, please leave the key(s) outside the office/camp store in the secure mailbox..  Any keys that are not returned are subject to a minimum $20.00 re-key fee.

I agree to hold Lost River Valley Campground harmless for any and all injuries, problems, and concerns stated above.

Tent and RV Sites: Sites are cleaned, raked, and inspected before occupancy. This is a take-in, take-out campground. You are responsible for the campsite and upkeep of the site during your stay.  All trash needs to be picked up, including, but not limited to, wrappers, cigarettes, confetti, and food. Be aware this is a wilderness environment, so store food accordingly.

Do not walk between campsites and do not allow your children to ride bikes between campsites. Please use the road.

Lost River Valley Campground staff will empty/clean the fire pit.  Trash pickup is not provided to individual sites. Place all trash in the dumpsters located by the store. Plastic trash bags are provided at the store.  Any site that is left not in the same condition that it was found results in a minimum $75.00 cleaning fee. 

Septic: RV Sewer hoses must be undamaged and tightly connected. Do not wash food down the sink drain. Do not flush anything except toilet paper. Do not put household chemicals down the drain. I agree that I am responsible for costs to repair any blockage due to violation of these rules.

Water: Washing of vehicles or RVs is strictly prohibited. It is your responsibility to ensure hoses and fixtures are not leaking. NH State law requires no fluid discharge of any kind, including sink water, be allowed on the ground. .

Electric: No extension cords are to be strung to any other sites. Electric is only for the site that is intended to be occupied by the site leader and party.  Only one RV is to be plugged in at a time. Lighting needs to be at a minimum and not left on all day and night.  If lights are too bright and a nuisance to adjacent sites, Lost River Valley Campground has a right to suspend the use of such lights.  Electric vehicles, or electric toys of any sort, are not to be plugged in to your site's electric.  Lost River Valley Campground reserves the right to charge a fee if this rule is broken.

Picnic Tables: Do not use hooks or nails on the picnic tables; do not place hot grills on the tabletops. Any damage to a picnic table will be assessed by the Lost River Valley Campground staff and repairs or replacement charged to the site occupant.

Campfires: Fires must be kept small and contained within the fire pit. Fire rings are located in accordance with NH State law and are not to be moved. Do not place bottles, cans, trash, or scrap lumber in the firepits. Never leave a fire burning when you leave your site or before retiring for the night.

Protected Woods: State law prohibits the defacing of trees. Do not strip, chop, or trample any tree or shrub. If Lost River Valley Campground staff discover any sort of damage has occurred to the property at your campsite, they will notify the local police; and you may be subject to charges. 

Property Damage to Campground:  You will be asked to leave if you, your children, or your guests vandalize the campground, or you hack, cut, or drive nails or screws into trees, buildings, or picnic tables. Children are not allowed to use knives or hatchets. You agree to pay for any required repair or cleaning.

Restrooms and Showers: Our restrooms and showers are closed daily for cleaning. Check the posted cleaning time at the entrance to each restroom. Children under the age of 10 must be accompanied by an adult when using the showers.

Laundry Room: Do not leave clothes unattended and clean up after each use. There are also two laundromats in town - feel free to ask the store or office staff for directions.

Playground /Swimming/ Boating/ Water Area: All children must be accompanied by an adult in the swimming/boating/water area. There is no lifeguard on duty.  Horseplay is not allowed; there is to be no swimming after dusk. Use of the boats by children and adults requires following U.S. Coast Guard guidelines and wearing life jackets.   I agree to not hold Lost River Valley Campground responsible for any and all injuries, problems, and concerns that occur to me or my party due to the use of the playground/swimming area..

Not Permitted: Fireworks, except sparklers used under direct supervision of an adult, loud bug zappers, chainsaws, or laser beams are not permitted in the campground.. Reckless driving or speeding in the campground is not permitted. Power-driven riding toys for any age are not permitted.

Weapons: Weapons and firearms of any kind, including, but not limited to; air guns, B.B. guns, and slingshots are not allowed.

Alcohol: Alcoholic beverages are allowed in moderation at your site. Beer and wine are permitted off your site but must be in an approved container (i.e.: plastic or aluminum, no glass containers off-site). Beer or wine kegs are not permitted.

Maintenance Area:  The Maintenance Area is off limits to all campers.  

River Area & Flooding: River and brook water can become rapids quite quickly.  All cautions are required. I agree to hold Lost River Valley Campground harmless from any injuries, accidents, or problems related to the Lost River and Walker Brook within the campground property.

Insurance: All site occupants, visitors, and guests must maintain appropriate insurance.  Your RV and other personal property are not covered by the campground's insurance.  I agree to not hold Lost River Valley Campground responsible for any and all injuries, problems, loss, theft of personal items, or damage to personal property that occur to me or my party.  

Payments, Charges, or Fees: Site fees are collected 14 days prior to arrival.  Any charges to the site during the reservation period are the responsibility of the site leader.  

Cancellation Policies: You have up to 14 days prior to your scheduled arrival to move, transfer, or adjust your reservation. Reservations are fully refundable, less a $15.00 processing fee, when canceled 14 days prior to arrival.

If cancellation is within 14 days of your scheduled arrival, there will be no refunds, no transfers, and no adjustments to your reservation. There are NO EXCEPTIONS to this policy. Do not request refunds within the 14 days period prior to your arrival.

There are no refunds or credits for early departures, "no-shows", or weather issues.. Camping is a rain or shine activity.

All cancellation requests shall be emailed to info@lostriver.com. We do not accept cancellations over the phone.

Promotional Photography and Video: On behalf of each person in my party, I give permission to the management of Lost River Valley Campground to photograph and video each person in my party, including minor children, while at the campground. The campground and its promotional partners are authorized to use the resulting pictures and videos for any lawful purpose without compensation.

Messages: Messages are posted on the bulletin board located at the camp store.

Violations: If you are asked to leave for any reason by the management of the campground, you must do so immediately or law enforcement will be notified; and you will be treated as a trespasser. If we are forced to ask you to leave for violation of our rules, regulations, or policies, there will be no refunds issued. No illegal activity, drug use, physical abuse, verbal abuse, or bullying are tolerated at the campground. 

By completion of this reservation, you agree that you have read and agree to abide by all rules and policies at Lost River Valley Campground. You also understand that you can be asked to leave the property, without refund, for failure to follow said rules and policies.  Lost River Campground is privately owned, and MANAGEMENT RESERVES THE RIGHT TO REFUSE SERVICE to anyone for any reason, except for those prohibited by law.
